Recorder Order Form is due Wedneday, November 18th! |
We will be starting recorder instruction in Fine Arts. Order forms are due Wednesday, November 18th! If your child already has a recorder, it must be brought to Fine Arts. It will be stored there until instruction begins. All students are expected to have their own recorder, and to practice during the week. We use a wonderful program called Recorder Karate, Booklet 1 uses a system of "belts" as a reward, then when the student graduates to Black belt, we will move into Booklet 2, with a focus on "beads." We look forward to a fun experience in Music with our recorders!
Please go to the Music page, and download the order form if you did not receive a November Fine Arts Newsletter. Thank you! |

EXPLORING A WORLD OF ART! |
Welcome to the Fine Arts Studio!
There is no limit to the places your imagination and creativity can take you. So, with that in mind, we will experience a world of art, music and theatre and learn to think critically and creatively about all the things we do!
This website is here to provide you information about what we are doing in 4th and 5th grade Fine Arts. We look forward to sharing all we learn through art exhibits, performances and online. It's a big, big world out there and there is so much to learn!
I am excited to share our new Fine Arts Studio Blog, created this year for 4th and 5th graders and their families. It is meant for interaction--take a look at the pages, and soon, there will be images, podcasts and treasure hunts on museum websites on which you will be able to comment.

Don't forget to take a look at the Fine Arts Reading list: there are great books for reading anytime! Also, here's a glimpse of the Bluebonnet Books for 2009-10! Enjoy the stories and the illustrations!

It's All About the Arts in the Fine Arts Studio at RJ Richey!
We had an exciting year in Art, Music and Theatre in 2008-09~just wait for this year!! The Arts go hand in hand with everything we do!
Watch for the Fine Arts Newsletter which will come home with your student. It will provide information about our lessons and the work we are doing, and also share information about the Arts in our community and region. There is so much to see and do--all of which will enhance your child's appreciation for the Arts!
