Shady Grove Elementary School Student Drop-off & Pick-up Procedures At Shady Grove Elementary, your child’s safety is our greatest concern. We recognize that life is hectic and often rushed, but we also know that putting a child at risk is never excusable. To ensure all children’s safety, please help us by adhering to the following procedures. Car Rider Drop-Off Students can be dropped off at the front of the school beginning at 7:30 each school day. Please form one line and pull up as far as possible. Several cars can unload at one time to move things along more quickly. A staff member will be on duty to ensure the line moves quickly and that your child safely enters the building. Do not use the parking area as a drop-off location. You may, however, park your car and escort your child into the building. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL VISITORS MUST CHECK IN AT THE FRONT OFFICE AND WEAR A PRINTED BADGE WHILE ON CAMPUS. Car Rider Pick-Up Students will be delivered to the car rider area in front of the school at 3:15. Please remain in your car and pull up as far as possible. This will help the line move quickly. Do not park your car and walk to get your child. There are so many moving vehicles in the parking lot after school and safety is our number one concern. Again, we will move the line as quickly as possible. Please write your child’s name on the attached strip and place it on the passenger side of your dashboard. Our students are engaged in academic activities until 3:10pm. Please respect this time by not checking your student out of school early. Bus Riders Students riding the bus will be picked up in the back parking lot. If your student in normally a bus rider but will be riding in a car instead, please notify the front office as soon as possible for appropriate arrangements. Students will not be released to parents in the bus rider area without the appropriate documentation from the front office. Again – we appreciate your cooperation. We love each of our kids and want to make sure they arrive at home and school safely each day. |
