Attendance |
Attendance in Texas is mandatory by state law. Please help us educate your children by having them in school daily. If your child is ill please call the office to report the absence. If you have a doctor’s appointment for your child you may return them to school anytime that day and they will not be counted absent. If you have not called the school when your student is absent you will receive a letter from the school regarding failure to meet Texas public school compulsory attendance laws. If the absences continue you will receive another letter and may be summoned to court. Please feel free to call the Burnet Elementary school office with any questions about the compulsory attendance laws and we will be happy to assist you. It is our goal to work with you in whatever capacity we can.
